What do you like in Chicago ?
Everything….I was born and raised here. I have lived on every side of town and have experienced the city in every way. We have some of the best architecture in the world. Just look at our skyline.
No place in the world has a skyline like Chicago.
Your best records shops in Chicago ?
Gramaphone Records and Mr. Peabody’s are my top 2. The owners of both shops are fantastic, when it comes to customer
service. If it’s rare disco and soul you want, you hit up Mike and Mark at
Peabody’s. They are the only shop owners that will open the shop on a closed
day, if you need something.
Despite shops closing, we still have plenty of options here to get your wax fix.
Your best clubs in Chicago ?
We have a very thriving lounge scene, but I feel that Party music, especially House Music, is made for Clubs, Underground Spaces, and Lofts. My 2 fav clubs to go to and play are : Smart Bar & Shrine
Your best parties in Chicago ?
Bang! Sundays at Shrine with Terry Hunter.
Your best bar/pub in Chicago ?
Too many to name…but if you’re downtown, go to Cal’s…it’s grimy and the glasses are dirty!!!LOL
Your best restaurants in Chicago ?
Home of the Hoagy, Weiner’s Circle, Pizzeria Uno, Gino’s East, Fogo Da Chao, & Greektown. Chicago is a food city, with many, excellent choices.
Your best hotels in Chicago ?
The Wit, Swisshotel, Palmer House, Fairmont.
Some others best places/spots in Chicago (museum, park, street, quarter,
monument or others) ?
Dusable Museum, Musuem of Science & Industry, Millenium Park, Michigan Avenue, Hyde Park…where President Obama lives.
Any news (releases, events or others) ?
I am currently finishing up some editing work for Braxton Holmes, of some of his classic jams will be edited by me. I also have some work for Marshall Jefferson dropping as well.
